About the Course:
The Heart and Stroke Basic Life Support (BLS) course, previously referred to as HCP or CPR for healthcare providers, is essential training for saving lives. This course is tailored for healthcare providers, trained first responders, or individuals in healthcare training programs to provide care for patients in various environments.
Basic Life Support covers essential skills for single rescuers and teams to apply in both pre-hospital and in-facility situations. The emphasis is on performing high-quality CPR and understanding team dynamics.
With its hands-on approach, the course will equip you to promptly identify various life-threatening emergencies, administer effective chest compressions, provide proper ventilation, and utilize an AED early on. This is achieved through engaging in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations, making the learning experience practical and applicable in real-life situations.
