About the Course:
The purpose of the Canadian Red Cross Airway Management training is to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to establish and sustain a clear airway, utilize appropriate interventions, and utilize available equipment effectively. Participants will learn how to administer the required interventions, such as assessing and inserting the relevant airway adjuncts based on the patient's condition. Additionally, this course can be paired with Basic Life Support training to obtain extra certification. The training is offered in Calgary, Red Deer or can be conducted at your preferred location using our Mobile Training Unit.

Course Content:
• Opening the mouth
• Cross finger technique
• Tongue-jaw lift
• Airway adjuncts – insertion and removal • Oropharyngeal (OPA) airways
• Nasopharyngeal (NPA) airways
• Supraglottic airways (Awareness only)
• Suction
Course Completion:
3-year certification in Airway Management (digital certificate issued upon successful completion)
