About the Course:
This Canadian Red Cross one-day course delivers vital first aid and CPR training suitable for work and home environments, emphasizing the importance of life-saving skills. The course meets the standards established by provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and integrates the latest protocols for first aid and CPR. You have the option to take the course in Calgary or Red Deer or request our Mobile Training Unit to deliver the training at your chosen venue.
This course aligns with the CSA Standard Z1210-17 for Workplace First Aid Training.
Prerequisites:
Recommended 14 yrs +
Recertificatin : a current Basic (Emergency) First Aid or OFA1

Preparing to respond
The EMS system
Check, Call, Care
Airway emergencies
Breathing and Circulation emergencies
First aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest
Wound care
Includes opioid poisoning awareness information
Includes any other content required by specific legislation
Course Completion Criteria:
Successfully demonstrate skills and critical steps
Min. 75% mark for written knowledge evaluation
Attend and participate in 100% of the course
