Become a professional babysitter! The Canadian Red Cross Babysitting Course teaches basic first aid and caregiving skills for youth 11 - 15 years old. Training courses are offered in Calgary or Red Deer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is lunch provided?

No. Due to dietary variations, we ask all parents to send their new Babysitter with their own nut-free snacks and lunch.

What should they bring?

It would be wonderful if they could bring a doll or stuffed animal large enough to diaper. We do have some dolls available, but some new Babysitters prefer their own.
Pen and paper so they can take notes. AHASTI will provide all other items.

Do they get issued a certification card?

Yes. We will need a unique email address for each participant, so they will have their own portal to access their records with the Canadian Red Cross.
